Privacy Policy

This page explains what ChadAds collects and why. We keep it to what the site needs to work.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address, a display name, and your password (stored in scrambled form, never in plain text).
• What you post: ad titles, descriptions, prices, the city you choose, links, photos and video links. Ads are public.
• Your messages: the messages and offers you send and receive about ads. Only the two people in a conversation can read it. We may look at a conversation if someone reports it or to enforce our rules.
• What you save: the ads you mark as saved. These are private to your account.
• Technical information: like your IP address and browser type, which our hosting and database services record in their normal logs.

Photos

Photos you upload have hidden details such as GPS location removed in your browser before they are stored. Other details you type into an ad, such as its description, are public, so avoid putting private information there.

Location

You choose a city for each ad and to search nearby. If you press "Use my location", your browser asks permission and the position is used on your device to pick the closest city. It is not stored.

How we use it

• To run the site: show ads, keep you signed in, and let you save and manage your ads.
• To keep the site safe, for example to prevent spam and remove ads that break the rules.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and similar storage

Your browser keeps a sign-in session so you stay logged in, and the site remembers a few display settings. We do not use advertising cookies. If you play a YouTube or Vimeo video, that service may set its own cookies.

Counting visits

To learn how many people use ChadAds and which pages they open, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not use cookies, does not follow you across other websites, and is not used for advertising. It records things like the page visited, the website that sent you, your country, and the type of device and browser. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, we do not count your visit.

Who handles the data

ChadAds uses Supabase to store accounts, ads and files, Netlify to host the website, and Cloudflare to count visits. They process data for us under their own privacy terms.

Your choices

• You can edit or delete your ads at any time from the site.
• You can ask us to delete your account and data.

Children

ChadAds is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
